HEATH GUINN

Heath Guinn is an entrepreneur and social impact leader based in Johnson City, Tennessee. Throughout his career, he has led strategic communication design for Fortune 500 companies, state and local governments, and business ecosystem leaders. In 2016, Guinn started Sync Space, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on unleashing the power of entrepreneurship in Northeast Tennessee and providing connectivity, access to capital, and opportunity for economic prosperity to emerging or traditionally disadvantaged communities.

Over the course of the first four years of the organization, a network of more than 50 industry partners was created and deployed more than $3,000,000 in the rural Appalachian region of the United States. Further, the extension of the organization’s entrepreneurs has reached impoverished communities in 12 countries.  With a vision of Northeast Tennessee becoming the “Epicenter of Rural Entrepreneurship” among other focuses, Guinn began connecting regional partners with established communities and institutions in Tennessee and around the nation, leading to the development of recruitment pipelines for the best and brightest startups to participate in this regional vision.

Guinn also serves as a board member for non-profits, academic institutions, and entrepreneurial organizations, and is a respected voice for the role that social impact entrepreneurship plays in creating prosperity for traditionally social and economically disadvantaged communities.
