Please note that all legal workshops are designed to provide high-level information. Questions that require research, detailed analysis, or in-depth review are out of scope and will require full engagement by the law firm. This session is a great place to better understand your questions and get to meet some of the best legal representatives in our region.

GENERAL LEGAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWER SESSION

Ask questions and learn about why having a great lawyer in your corner is critical for startups and small businesses. This session is hosted by Baker Donelson. Chris Sloan is the chair of the Firm’s Emerging Companies Group and focuses his practice on start-ups and other emerging businesses and also handles complex software and other IT transactions for both small and large companies alike. Chris has worked with a large number of our local startups, businesses, and brings a wealth of knowledge to his clients.

Sessions begin at 8am and continue every 15 minutes until 8:45am.

Learn about intellectual property, patents, copyrights, and everything in-between. Ask questions and hear about common pitfalls and challenges to securing your intellectual property. John Wood, Founder of Wood Patent law will be available all morning before Day 2 of the Summit to connect with you.
